Sr. Accountant
Description We are in the search for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join our team in the non-profit sector, based in Menlo Park, California, 94304. In this role, you will be tasked with executing account reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and bank reconciliations. You'll also be working with software like NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP, and be responsible for managing the general ledger and performing month-end close procedures. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Analyze and develop solutions for complex accounting problems • Apply judgment and make informed decisions related to accounting processes • Communicate complex accounting concepts in a simple form to non-finance users • Write and verbally communicate effectively, including summarizing data and presenting results • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the team and with other departments • Manage and organize work, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing priorities • Work effectively both as a team player and leader in the finance department • Use computer systems and software used in accounting, including NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP • Adhere to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in all accounting practices • Stay updated with local, state, and federal regulatory requirements related to accounting. Requirements • Proven experience as a Senior Accountant in the non-profit industry • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation and Balance Sheet Reconciliation • Demonstrated ability to perform Bank Reconciliations • Sound knowledge of maintaining the General Ledger and making Journal Entries • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for financial reporting and analysis • Experience in executing Month End Close procedures effectively • Familiarity with accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail • Strong analytical skills and ability to problem-solve complex accounting issues • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance related field preferred Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
