Sr. Accountant
Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be entrusted with the management of key accounting functions, including account and bank reconciliation, finalizing financial statements, and contributing to month-end closing procedures. Responsibilities: • Ensuring all transactions are accurately reflected in the general ledger. • Collaborating with senior accountants to prepare income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. • Analyzing financial data to support accurate reporting and decision-making. • Assisting with the month-end close process, including the preparation and review of accrivals. • Conducting reconciliations of various balance sheet and income statement items to maintain financial accuracy. • Comparing bank statements with financial records, identifying and resolving discrepancies. • Posting journal entries as part of the month-end close process. • Supporting internal and external audit preparations as required. • Maintaining organized documentation in compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and detail-oriented standards. • Improving processes related to reconciliations, reporting, and closing procedures for enhanced efficiency and accuracy. The hourly pay rate range of this position is $27 to $32/hour, plus bonus. Benefits available to Full-Time Engagement Professionals include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance. Requirements • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role as a Sr. Accountant • Proven experience in Account Reconciliation • Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is a must • Demonstrable experience in Bank Reconciliations • Extensive knowledge and experience in managing General Ledger • Ability to accurately prepare Journal Entries • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required • Experience in Month End Close procedures • Familiarity with Sage Accounting Software is a must Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
