Description We are seeking a Sr. Accountant for our operations based in Pleasanton, California. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be instrumental in the maintenance and reconciliation of account balances, bank statements, and general ledgers. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity, providing an engaging and dynamic work environment. Responsibilities: • Undertake the reconciliation of account balances accurately and meticulously • Conduct comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations • Carry out bank reconciliations to ensure all financial data aligns • Maintain and update the General Ledger as part of routine accounting tasks • Prepare and record journal entries as part of the month-end close process • Utilize Microsoft Excel for various accounting functions and reporting • Manage the month end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurate • Operate NetSuite for various accounting and financial processes. Requirements • The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably as a Sr. Accountant or in a finance-related field. • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required, with the ability to analyze discrepancies and solve issues promptly. • Experience with Balance Sheet Reconciliation, including the ability to identify, investigate, and correct any inconsistencies. • Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations is necessary, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner. • The candidate must have strong knowledge of General Ledger management, including maintaining and updating financial records. • Proficiency in recording Journal Entries accurately and efficiently as part of the day-to-day accounting duties. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are crucial for data analysis, reporting, and creating financial models. • Experience with Month End Close procedures is required, ensuring all financial data is recorded and reported accurately.
