Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the Real Estate - Sales & Lease industry, based in Edina, Minnesota. The role involves performing various accounting functions for our multi-state brokerage and local title company. Responsibilities: • Conduct month-end activities to ensure all financial transactions are recorded • Execute journal entries to the General Ledger to maintain accurate financial records • Oversee closing procedures for the Minnesota market to ensure smooth transactions • Record batch transactions to keep track of multiple financial activities • Carry out bank account and other balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for • Participate in financial reviews to analyze and improve financial performance • Generate reports on pending transactions to keep stakeholders informed • Oversee contract management to ensure all contracts are up to date and legally compliant • Manage insurance policies to ensure adequate coverage and compliance with regulations • Propose and implement best practices and process improvements to enhance efficiency • Support managers and the department with various ad-hoc projects • Handle human resources duties such as onboarding and termination processes, maintenance of employee files, and payroll management. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role. • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations. • Solid understanding and experience with General Ledger and Journal Entries. • Proficient in Microsoft Excel. • Experience in Month End Close. • Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP software. • Ability to process Adjusting Journal Entries and Ledger Journal Entries. • Experience in Month-end Journal Entries. • Knowledge of Corporate Real Estate is preferred. • Understanding of GAAP - STAT and GAAP Accounting principles. • Familiarity with US GAAP is necessary.
