Job Description The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting the financial operations of the Company by providing accounting, compliance, analysis, reporting and reconciliations to support month end close. This is a hybrid role. Key Areas of Responsibility + Complete assigned tasks as regular part of month end closing process in accordance with month end closing schedule. + Compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries documenting business transactions related to each month-end close. + Participate in preparation of monthly financial packages, tax packages, year-end audit/annual report, and any additional reporting/analytical reviews requested by management. + Maintain reconciliations for balance sheet accounts, including balancing all intercompany accounts monthly. + Prepare Capital Expenditure Requests for approval, track capital expenditures, maintain all fixed asset records for the company, and record monthly depreciation and amortization journal entries. + Prepare and manage the Vestcom payroll and benefit related entries in coordination with Avery Dennison corporate accounting.   + Complete departmental projects, including the implementation of accounting changes. + Ensures compliance with internal policies, procedures and internal controls in accordance with the Sarbanes- Oxley Act 2002 Section 404. Qualifications Key Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar field required, plus five years of general ledger and financial statement reporting experience. + Must have mathematical skills consistent with obtaining a four-year accounting degree. + This position requires daily use of an accounting software package for a medium size company. Previous experience with this type of software is required. + Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are required. + Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, and other associates required. + Ability to show proficiency in the following computer applications: MS Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint + Ability to embody and reflect Vestcom’s core values Additional Information Additional Requirements + Compliance with Company policies concerning maintaining a drug free workplace is required + Compliance with all Company policies is required including all safety policies and procedures  Supervisory Responsibilities None.
