Description We are on the lookout for a Sr. Accountant to be a part of our team located in Nashville, Tennessee. The primary function of this role includes establishing internal protocols for accounting transactions, overseeing the creation of financial reports and forecasts, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities • Oversee and ensure the accuracy of accounting transactions and budget preparation. • Manage the preparation of business activity reports and financial forecasts. • Ensure that the production of periodic financial reports complies with recognized accounting principles and financial reporting standards. • Play a crucial role in tax planning throughout the fiscal year and handle the filing of the annual corporate tax return. • Conduct internal audits of accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and provide necessary information for the annual external audit. • Present management with recommendations on both short-term and long-term financial objectives and policies. • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal government requirements. • Handle other related duties as necessary or assigned. • Utilize skills such as Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle effectively. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role as a Sr. Accountant • Proficient in Account Reconciliation • Expertise in Balance Sheet Reconciliation • Experience with Bank Reconciliations • Solid understanding of General Ledger operations • Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries • Proficient in Microsoft Excel • Experience with Month End Close procedures • Familiarity with NetSuite software • Knowledge of Oracle software Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
