Description
We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to join our team near Oak Brook, Illinois. In this role, you will be instrumental in preparing financial reports, safeguarding the integrity of the general ledger, and ensuring adherence to regulatory and accounting standards. This role is of great significance in our fast-paced corporate environment and will involve engagement with various teams to back our strategic business initiatives.
Responsibilities:
• Undertake the preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, ensuring they are accurate and adhere to GAAP.
• Oversee the reconciliation of general ledger accounts, which include cash, prepaids, fixed assets, and various accruals, and ensure discrepancies are resolved promptly.
• Support the financial close processes at the end of the month, quarter, and year, which include making journal entries, reconciling balance sheets, and performing variance analysis.
• Ensure adherence to established accounting policies, internal controls, and meet the requirements of applicable regulatory bodies.
• Keep abreast of changes to GAAP and other accounting standards, and assist in implementing new policies as necessary.
Requirements • Candidate must possess a minimum of 7 years of detail-oriented experience as an Accountant
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is a key requirement
• Experience with Balance Sheet Reconciliation is essential
• Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations is mandatory
• Expertise in managing General Ledger is expected
• Experience in preparing and analyzing Journal Entries is required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary for data analysis and reporting
• Experience with Month End Close procedures is a must
