Description This search is being conducted by Steve Spinello. We are on the lookout for a Sr. Accountant to join a growing manufacturer in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This role primarily involves comprehensive general ledger responsibilities, supporting the Controller in various tasks. The Sr. Accountant will be instrumental in processing month-end close duties, account reconciliations, fixed assets, treasury, providing necessary documentation for external audits, and compiling supporting documents for the tax returns. Responsibilities: • Oversee the execution of month-end close activities with precision • Draft adjusting journal entries as part of the accounting process • Manage accruals to ensure accurate financial reporting • Conduct account reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records • Prepare necessary documentation to aid external audit procedures • File for relevant grants and tax credits in compliance with regulatory requirements • Utilize Microsoft Excel for various accounting activities and reporting • Operate in the ERP system Requirements • Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in a broad based, general ledger role • Proficient in carrying out month-end close activities. • Capable of making adjusting journal entries. • Experience in manufacturing is required • Skilled in account reconciliation processes. • BS in Accounting/Finance is required • International exposure is a plus • Proficient in using Microsoft Excel for advanced calculations and data analysis. • Experienced in using an ERP system If you enjoy process improvements, like collaboration with other departments and the corporate office, and are interested in being part of the future growth as this organization continues to scale their business, please apply today for a conversation on this role.
