Description We are welcoming a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Cookeville, Tennessee. As a Sr. Accountant, you will have the responsibility of providing support to our accounting, financial, and operational performance reporting activities. This role will be pivotal in ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting policies, as well as assisting with annual budgets, quarterly forecasting, and monthly financial reporting. Responsibilities: • Accurately processing customer credit applications • Maintaining accurate customer credit records • Providing guidance and support to the accounting team • Assisting with requests from internal or external auditors • Participating in special projects and initiatives as needed • Assisting in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures • Performing review and analysis of general ledger accounts and reconciliations for balance sheet accounts • Proposing correcting journal entries as needed • Assisting in developing the talent within the finance and accounting functions • Maintaining fixed asset system including monthly depreciation, asset tagging, capital tracking and coding, additions, and disposals. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required. • Ability to perform Balance Sheet Reconciliation is essential. • Familiarity with General Ledger management is necessary. • Experience in creating and managing Journal Entries is mandatory. • Proficient use of Microsoft Excel for accounting tasks is required. • Demonstrable experience in Month End Close procedures is needed.
