Description We are searching for a PART-TIME Sr. Accountant in the Clearwater, Florida area. to provide interim coverage in order to maintain continuity within our client's accounting function. As a Sr. Accountant, your main focus will be on performing traditional accounting tasks, ensuring the month-end close process is completed accurately, and improving coordination and communication regarding pricing deductions, which is a bit more specific to our client's industry. This role offers a part-time, but long-term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Oversee the execution of traditional accounting tasks, ensuring they are conducted with precision and efficiency. • Carry out month-end closing procedures and prepare journal entries as part of the process. • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations regularly to maintain financial accuracy. • Enhance the process for verifying customer deductions, including promotions and fulfillment errors, by liaising with sales and other departments. • Use your proficiency in Microsoft Excel for tasks such as VLOOKUPs, XLOOKUPS, and Pivot Tables. • Train and mentor entry level staff in balance sheet reconciliation to improve their skill set. • Utilize NetSuite for various accounting tasks, ensuring its correct and effective usage. • Foster better inter-departmental communication and coordination regarding pricing deductions. Requirements • Possess a thorough understanding and practical experience with Balance Sheet Reconciliation • Demonstrated proficiency in performing Bank Reconciliations • Adequate knowledge and working experience with General Ledger Maintenance • Ability to accurately prepare and maintain Journal Entries • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel • Experience in handling Month End Close procedures • Proficiency in using NetSuite would be preferred, but similar ERP experience will be considered Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
