The Senior A/R Manager will lead our governance, compliance, and reporting initiatives related to Accounts Receivable (AR) and revenue recognition within the US Oncology Network (USON). This role will be pivotal in driving standardization, enhancing process efficiencies, and ensuring robust financial controls. The Senior A/R Manager position requires strong leadership, strategic planning, project management, and communication skills to ensure effective governance of the USON Accounts Receivable processes.
Key responsibilities
Governance, Compliance, and Reporting:
Develop and standardize the account reconciliation processes for USON Accounts Receivable, centralizing the preparation and approval processes where feasible.Ensure consistent application and utilization of AR accounts across USON practices.Oversee the management of the AR and Revenue Recognition control environment, including:Coordination and maintenance of SOX control narratives.Conducting and reviewing Process Mapping, Test of Design (TOD), and Test of Effectiveness (TOE).Coordinate internal and external audits.Provide specialized controllership support for USON retail pharmacy AR.Manage the iReserve process to ensure accuracy and deliver insightful analytics, ensuring accurate reporting of revenue and discount adjustments.Examine all non-standard AR and Revenue journal entries across USON to ensure compliance.Provide monthly reports on status of outstanding A/R.Project Oversight and Roadmap Development:
Lead and oversee Revenue/AR projects from inception to successful implementation, ensuring adherence to timelines and goals.Manage AR accounting activities related to the onboarding and offboarding of practices.Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless system implementations and upgrades for both new and existing practices.Continuously assess and enhance AR processes, leveraging technology and automation to increase efficiency and accuracy.Cross-Functional Collaboration and Process Improvement:
Work closely with Practice Controllers, Regional Finance Directors, and Revenue Cycle teams to promote a strong control environment and efficiency.Provide support to internal and external stakeholders through ad hoc requests and inquiries.Monitor and assess the effectiveness of AR internal controls, identifying and implementing opportunities for enhancement.Ability to drive automation initiatives and process optimizations to reconcile all A/R related accounts.Team Management:
Cultivate a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the AR/Revenue Controllership team.Drive talent development and empower team members to achieve excellence.
Minimum Requirement
Degree or equivalent experience. Typically requires 9+ years of professional experience and 1+ years of supervisory and/or management experience.

4-year degree in accounting
