The Joint, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Interagency Division provides expert support services to a range of customers spanning across the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian, and international markets. JOID provides a diverse portfolio of analytical and programmatic capabilities to help our customers make informed decisions on their most challenging issues.
The Critical Infrastructure Group (CIG) within JOID provides technical, programmatic and analytical support to customers with missions in national security to include the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Health and Human Services (HHS), and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The Group brings technical and operational expertise in fields of countering weapons of mass destruction, critical infrastructure protection, emergency response, nuclear non-proliferation, weapons deployment programs, and transportation safety. In addition to management and advisory services, CIG staff collaborate closely with our clients to provide high-quality modeling, simulation, software, and analytical products to meet the most demanding government standards and timelines.
We have an immediate need for SME and Senior-level Acquisition Program Management Specialists to provide support to DHS Customs and Border Protection (CBP) customers located in Washington, DC. These positions allow for hybrid work schedules.
ResponsibilitiesThe candidate will support CBP Component Acquisition Executive staff developing acquisition policy; conducting oversight and governance on all CBP Acquisition Programs and related efforts by providing advice and guidance on the acquisition process. This also includes reviewing acquisition documents and plans, and developing analysis on how well the programs are planned and are executing. Assist the Government personnel with preparing correspondence, briefings to programs and senior leaders, and tracking actions. Assist with development, implementation, management, and improvement of performance metrics around acquisition governance and policy. Support other acquisition analysis, strategic planning, administrative or technical support as assigned by Director Acquisition Policy and Oversight. Assist in the central coordination for performance measures, planning, metrics reports, and analysis on OA programs and activities. Manage, facilitate, edit, and approve the completion of Requests for Information from Congress, Reports and Letters to Congress, and Audits from the Government Accountability Office (GAO).

Ability to obtain and retain a CBP Background InvestigationBachelor's degree and 10 years of experienceMust have knowledge of the program management field and acquisition management, including understanding of the DHS Management Directive 102-01 and its supporting guides, DoD 5000, Program Management Institute guides, and/or Federal Acquisition Institute guidelinesProficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePointDesired:

Salary transparency pay range for the Washington DC area: $125k-$175k
