Sr. Analyst, Canadian Benefits
Overview ( This role can be Remote or Hybrid) Foot Locker is looking for an experienced Sr. Benefits Analyst to join their Total Rewards team. The Sr. Canadian Benefits Analyst is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management and compliance of Foot Locker’s Canadian company's Healthcare, Life, Disability, Voluntary and Retirement Plans. The role supports team members and is responsible for vendor and benefits data management, system administration, analyzing data and implementing procedural changes based on annual plan design and regulatory compliance. Benefit Analysts are also responsible for reporting, communications, government filings, audits and data integrity of the Foot Locker North American retirement and savings plans. #LI-MN1 Responsibilities Oversee and support benefits administration locally, including coordination with vendors and benefits team. Ensure benefits strategy is executed efficiently and plans are kept compliant with relevant Canadian and provincial laws and regulations. Work closely with the Benefits Leadership to administer medical, prescription drug, dental insurance, as well as retirement, life insurance, disability insurance and other benefits. Manage and monitor benefits costs and provide periodic updates to HR and Finance. Facilitate benefit renewal discussions with broker, benefits leadership, Finance, and HR. Actively contributes to planning and execution of benefits enrollment including system configuration, changes to vendor file extracts and compliance procedures. Maintain accurate process documentation and guidelines (i.e., vendor file submissions, data processing procedures, etc.), assuring systems and processes adequately support the various HR functions and objectives and remain complaint with Foot Locker internal controls and government regulations. Oversee leave of absence with associates and disability vendor, providing relevant information such as last day worked, job description, accommodations, and return to work date. Partner with HR on Wellness initiatives to support a healthy workplace. Partner with the Benefits Leadership to develop educational benefits materials, resources and training. Recommend and assist in development of Benefits policy revisions, processes and procedures. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree, preferably in finance, business, statistics, mathematics, or actuarial science and 3-5+ years of work experience in Benefits including design, administration, compliance and reporting. Minimum 1-3 years experience with Canadian Benefits. Results oriented possessing strong analytical skills, be hands-on and willing to work at the tactical and strategic levels. Proven technical experience successfully managing multiple team projects simultaneously and producing quality deliverables on time. Ability to work independently, have a sense of accountability as well as work cooperatively in a close team environment. Passion for analyzing data, solving problems and sharing solutions. Advanced technical skills in database report writing, excel, and other Microsoft software products and utilizing technology to drive innovation, effectiveness, and efficiency Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail. Familiar with DOL, IRS and ERISA regulations governing benefit plans. Strong oral and written communication skills. Prior experience with HRIS systems and ad hoc query reporting required, PeopleSoft experience preferred. Benefits Salary Range (CAD): $54,000 - $70,000 / year. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
