New York, NYSenior Analyst - Content Finance
Condé Nast is seeking a strategic Sefnior Financial Analyst based in New York to provide critical
analytical support and thought partnership to Condé Nast’s iconic editorial brands, including Vogue,
The New Yorker, GQ, Glamour, AD, Vanity Fair and Wired, among many others. This role is primarily
focused on working with Editorial Leadership, Finance and Strategy teams to provide performance
insights and financial analysis leading to profit accretive decision-making. Reporting to the Senior
Director, Content Finance, this role will include the responsibilities of financial analysis and reporting,
KPI modelling, and strategic partnership.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Analysis and Reporting, supporting the Audio and Film / TV verticals
Analyze and explain financial and operating results against budget, prior periods and
forecasts
Create and distribute monthly departmental reports, including financial operating statements,
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and takeaways on operating results
Partner with Corporate Accounting during month-end close to ensure timely and accurate
financial results
Review monthly general ledger to ensure correct allocations/coding of revenue and expenses
Assist with creating and updating the Company’s annual budget and quarterly forecasts
Support the preparation of the Company’s Long-Range Strategic Plan with financial models
and analysis
Provide financial modeling support for a new business initiatives and other ad-hoc projects
KPI Modelling and Analysis, supporting the Global Unified KPI Program
Under the guidance of the Senior Director, Content build and maintain rigorous KPI models
that determine annual targets by brand, market and metric for audience reach, engagement
and monetization
Partner with Audience Strategy and Audience Development to ensure targets reflect the latest
developments and strategic initiatives
Assist in creating deliverables for communication of KPI targets to editorial teams globally
Analyze and report on the impact of the Global Unified KPI Program on brand financial
performance
Strategic Partnership
● Provide financial modeling, financial analysis, and valuation support for a variety of special
projects, business development initiatives, and internal investment requests
● Provide strategic thought partnership and organizational support to critical initiatives led by
the Content Finance Team, including cross-functional Quarterly Business Reviews
● Develop and maintain strong relationships with various internal stakeholders across Editorial,
Finance, Strategy, Commercial and Consumer teams, becoming a trusted resource and
partner
DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
● 2 - 3 years of related experience in finance, strategy or similar roles with an emphasis on
financial modeling and reporting
● Has a proven track record of supporting strategic thinking through financial models
● Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or similar discipline with analytical
bias
● Highly competent user of MS Office and G Suite. Prior experience of using business insight &
data visualization tools would be highly beneficial
● Exceptional attention to detail and aptitude for troubleshooting data discrepancies
● Ability to prioritize and manage multiple simultaneous projects
● Tolerant of ambiguity with the ability to break down complex problems into pieces that can be
solved with data, analysis and reasonable assumptions
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to interpret and synthesize
financial data in an actionable manner
● Team player with demonstrated success at building strong rapport with partner teams and
leadership
● Ideally experience working in media and / or matrixed, global organizations
Salary Range: $70,000-$90,00
