About this job 

Each year, CarMax Auto Finance (CAF) helps CarMax customers with vehicle financing and optional protection products. The Sr. Strategy Analyst of  Dialer Analytics partners with Operations to lead and guide in the strategy and execution design and is responsible for the analytical oversight of our outbound collection customer contact strategies.  The role also provides analytical leadership and support for the effective management and growth of CAF’s portfolio.  The Sr. Analyst develops and maintains an understanding of key business metrics in the areas of credit underwriting, pricing, loss forecasting and/or consumer activities to effectively manage these areas and is willing to think creatively to drive change as the business evolves.  The role provides the opportunity to understand, communicate, and influence CAF objectives and processes to the larger CarMax organization.

What you will do

Leverage data to develop a deep understanding of CAF’s business operations and growth strategies.  This may include analytical work within any of the following teams: credit originations, pricing, forecasting/modeling, product management, and servicing analyticsUse database tools/software to extract key data, analyze trends, model predictive analytics and identify targeted areas for innovation and testing using a combination of statistical and database tools focus on the more complex areas of the businessDemonstrate strong teamwork by partnering effectively with others to meet common objectives; Be able to lead cross-functional projects within the CAF organizationReview and analyze existing business strategies and be prepared to recommend and implement new processes or strategies based upon the data/analysisProduce reports and analysis for monthly portfolio performance tracking and evaluationCoach and train more junior analysts

Qualifications and Requirements

Degree in an analytical major (Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Engineering, etc.) with evidence of academic achievement required2 – 3 years of experience in an analytical or strategic role or a combination of work experience and an advanced degreeStrong technical ability to access, manipulate, and interpret dataAbility to understand complex business problems and design effective solutionsProficiency with computers, general software, Excel and PowerPoint are requiredProficiency with database systems and/or software packages (ex: SAS, SQL)

Work Location and Arrangement: This role will be based out of the Kennesaw, GA Office and has a Hybrid work arrangement
