​​The Senior Analyst, Risk Analytics is responsible for utilizing data, analytics, advanced modeling and visualization tools to monitor portfolio performance, and provide portfolio optimization insight and recommendations to senior management over the entire credit portfolio across multiple products. The role will also be responsible for developing and maintaining data and analytical infrastructure, staying current with industry developments, and continuously improving processes and workflows.​ 

 

Responsibilities 

Utilize data and analytics tools to monitor portfolio performance, such as rating migrations, early warning indicators, limit monitoring etc 

Draw insight from analytics such as concentration in counterparty, credit quality, industry, geography, etc 

Support portfolio management by identifying credit portfolio hedging opportunities, and maintain capability to analyze portfolio effect of specific deals 

Respond to management/customer/regulatory inquiries using data and analytics infrastructure, and maintain compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and meet banking supervisory expectations 

Explore methodology and incorporate measurements for emerging risk such as climate risk where feasible. 

 

Qualifications  

Familiar with Credit Risk Analytics, Data Analysis, Risk Management  

Proficient with Python (Programming Language), SQL Database Queries, Power BI, Power Automate, Tableau, Microsoft Excel 

Knowledge of OpenAI API, JavaScript, Power Apps, Databricks will be a plus.

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $80,000 - $90,000 for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
