About the Team There are a lot of activities that happen in our stores so we have a strong cross-functional team focused on doing Anything for Pets by supporting the store teams through effective communications, processes and initiatives. The Store Strategy & Operations department leads the way to support all store activities and define business-driving strategies. The Workforce, Insights & Planning team owns labor optimization and reporting needs. The Operations & Innovation team owns merchandise execution, process improvement, compliance, store technology and innovation. And the Strategy team leads all the business-driving efforts for Salon, PetsHotel, Pet Training and In-store customer experience. These teams work diligently to ensure our associates, pets and pet parents are supported, while operating efficiently to drive the business. About the Location Hybrid Position: This position may be considered Hybrid based on PetSmart’s FlexSmart policy and business needs. A Hybrid work arrangement is considered to be a blend of onsite and remote work activity. Associates with a Hybrid work arrangement have a work space at Phoenix Home Office and can be required to come onsite between 1-5 days a week as determined by leadership and based on business needs. About the Job SUMMARY This position is responsible for processing and analyzing retail store productive labor for all Services business units (Salon, PetsHotel, Pet Training). The Sr Analyst is responsible for providing data analysis insights, through analytical and critical thinking skills, focusing on identifying and delivering actionable business recommendations needed to create operational efficiencies across the network of stores and communicating these recommendations effectively. Cross-functional collaboration is required throughout the organization, both at the Home-Office and throughout the Field, supporting the compilation and synthesis of robust datasets, resulting in actionable, standardized, and digestible reporting. The ideal candidate should possess the ability to work independently and on a cross-functional team in a fast-changing environment, serving as an analytical partner, and providing meaningful data analysis insights for our Services businesses and Labor leadership. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following: Responsible for processing, validating, and analyzing all labor associated with services business units to ensure labor allocations are accurate, timely, and represent the intended workload. Analyze labor data (Net Sales, Hotel Occupancy, Training Packages, etc.) to understand their impact to productive labor to develop actionable business recommendations. Partners with the Services teams to communicate labor performance metrics and recommendations identifying trends and forecasts to influence future strategic business decisions. Maintains and validates any databases for use in labor allocations for all services business units. Processes and assists with validation and analysis of all annual labor budgeting and quarterly forecasting, as well as the weekly forecasted labor calculations. Performs any data validation and analysis to ensure accuracy with labor allocations, payroll reporting, and ad-hoc analyses. Anticipate and identify business trends that have an impact on productive labor (Staffing Shortages, Weather disruptions, Travel seasons etc.) Provides support within the broader labor team to respond to inquiries about labor and/or payroll. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES There are no supervisory responsibilities. BUDGET RESPONSIBILITY This position has no budget responsibility. However, this role is critical in ensuring the enterprise achieves financial goals related to store productive labor budgets and reforecasts. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in HR, Finance, or related field and/or three or more year's related experience. TECHNICAL SKILLS Must be proficient in using the Microsoft Office Suite required including intermediate/expert level Excel and Access skills Experience utilizing Alteryx, Power BI, Power Query, and MicroStrategy is a plus. Proficiency in utilizing workforce management, payroll, and/or related ERP systems such as Kronos and SAP is a plus. Must be detail oriented and demonstrate organizational skills. Must have great communication skills, both written and verbal. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS None required.
