Sr. Analyst FP&A

The opportunity:
Mill Finance Operations is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst who will be an integral part of the Finance Team, working with several Mill sites, other departments, divisions, and corporate staff to manage, organize, and report data and analysis regarding all aspects of spare part capitalization per Smurfit Westrock policy. The Sr Analyst will support the preparation of various analytics, forecasts, operational plans, and oversight of spare part capitalization. This position will report to the respective Regional Finance Director.
How you will impact Smurfit Westrock:
* Assist in the site-specific development and documentation of processes and procedures regarding the capitalization of spare parts
* Multiple site responsibility of capital spares that includes review of purchases to ensure capitalization compliance with policy, proper recording within ERP system, timely in-service & disposal of spares.
* Support all spare part capitalization for multiple locations, working closely with Purchasing, Storeroom, Finance, Capital & FPA.
* Review usage trends and balance sheet balances to ensure accuracy & opportunities for working capital improvement
* Develop and maintain documentation of internal controls applicable to the assigned functional area
* Responsible for managing and coordinating all spare part inventory testing periodically and documenting results
* Comply with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and support internal and external audit processes
What you need to succeed:
* Bachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting or Finance
* 3-5 years of related experience in Pulp and Paper industry or manufacturing is preferred
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Strong understanding of key metrics
* Detail-oriented team player who can consistently meet deadlines, adapt quickly, work well with all levels of the organization, and possess the ability to work independently as needed
* Advanced skills in Excel and Hyperion SmartView
* Experience with Qlik, Power Apps (Power BI), Alteryx preferred, but not required
* Strong interpersonal, communication, computer, and team-building skills
* Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a continuously changing environment
* Some travel is required
