Job Description Summary
In a fast-paced environment, we act as a single point-of-contact for high impact financial professionals and provide assistance with servicing and retaining their Nationwide Retirement Plans. If you have a strong work ethnic and are detail oriented, we want to know more about you!As a Senior Analyst, you’ll partner with the Regional Vice President (RVP) and Relationship Manager (RM) and serve as the post-sale service counterpart to the Regional Internal Consultant. You’ll partner with internal contacts as well as the third-party administrators to identify ways to research and repair plan issues and have consultative conversations with the financial professional to ensure we retain the plan. You will be assigned a book of retirement plans aligned to specific RVP territories and be introduced as the single point-of-contact for plan service and retention opportunities.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Conducts plan and book of business reviews with financial professionals.
Acts as the single point-of contact for Financial Planners (FPs), RVPs and RMs on any service or retention issues.
Creates and manages relationships with both internal partners and external FPs.
Identifies root cause behind issues, works with various internal partners to solve and to provide service recovery.
Assists with case design, product updates, pricing scenarios and facilitates Nationwide plan-level changes.
Ensures that FPs are aware of any new or improved processes and products for existing business and educates as necessary based on the FPs business needs.
Acts as a subject matter expert/resource for all internal partners on FP servicing.
Leverages existing relationships to uncover new sales opportunities.
Maintains up-to-date records of all conversations and follows a process of documentation to support our strategy of an excellent customer experience.
Follows all rules and regulations to ensure compliance with FINRA or other professional licensure requirements, Nationwide policies, firm and state and local laws.
May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Reporting Relationships: Reports to Manager/Director and does not have direct reports.
Typical Skills and Experiences:
Education: Undergraduate studies in business, accounting, or related field preferred.
Experience: Typically, four years of related experience.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Advanced knowledge of assigned products, regulatory requirements and plan design. Understands the consequences of not following the FINRA rules, such as arbitration, financial loss to associate and Nationwide, sanctions/penalties that could impact the associate’s eligibility to remain in this role. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with others. Proven ability to effectively utilize technology and systems. Ability to analyze customer’s or producer's needs and determine the most appropriate solution and to set work priorities according to established standards.
