The Physical Security Threat Preparedness Analyst is responsible for consulting and providing guidance on the development, implementation, and monitoring of risks across a broad spectrum as well as supporting strategic approaches, effectiveness of the security function and helping to manage the risks for enterprise incident management.
The individual will work closely with Corporate Investigations, Executive Protection, and Human Resources to manage security and fraud threats. The role will serve as an investigative subject matter expert in conducting research utilizing various sources, data, and technology in developing intelligence products, briefings, and recommendations for operations and senior-level decision makers.

The Work Itself Assist leadership in assessing threats by applying intelligence analysis skills to monitor, assess, and report on security, physical threats, and vulnerabilities.Conduct assessments (Threat and Vulnerability and Behavioral Threat) to identify risks and threats and assist in developing mitigation plans.Exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for acquiring results.Develop intelligence and monitoring products and carry out a wide range of tasks under the mentorship of the manager.Develop product/project roadmaps, working with SMEs to identify and implement outstanding processes and tools to mitigate security threats.Research external threat and vulnerability monitoring tools in the industry. Assess and ensure Ally business divisions and enterprise functions have access to the best sources.Contribute to developing threat models by assisting the analytics team.Participate in threat briefings to impacted business divisions.Track all reported incidents in the Ally Case Management System.Liaise with Law Enforcement for all internal/external crimes involving threats/harassment or other investigations as needed. The Skills You Bring Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Advanced degree or equivalent experience and professional certifications (PSP, CBCP, etc.) preferred.3+ years of experience, with at least two years specifically related to intelligence collection, analysis, financial investigations, working with law enforcement/intelligence, military, behavioral and/or physical threat assessment, emergency management, business continuity and/or financial risk, technology, or operation.Ability to conduct multi-source investigations in collecting and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data.Member of the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals or a similar organization.Ability to acquire ATAP Certified Threat Manager (CTM).Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, and creative thinking skills.Comfortable optimally conducting briefings and communicating intelligence to technical and non-technical audiences.Analytical skills required to coordinate and analyze multiple data sets.Strong problem-solving skills/conceptual thinking to identify trends and patterns in data.Work in a team-oriented environment while also being able to work independently on initiatives with little oversight.Familiarity with risk scoring and threat analysis tools as well as structured professional judgment tools.Organizational and cross-functional communications skills to disseminate and present findings to key team members.Understanding of intelligence analytic concepts to supervise, assess, and report on security operations and potential threats, capabilities, and vulnerabilities.Regulatory awareness and at the least superficial understanding of analytical techniques.Maintains attention to detail in fast-paced situations. Base Pay Range: $70000 - $120000 USDAn individual's position in the range is determined by the specific role, the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer. Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan.
