**Company Description**
Robert Bosch LLC seeks Sr. Application Calibration Engineer at its facility located at 15000 Haggerty Road, Plymouth, MI 48170. Responsible for vehicle testing and application / calibration for radar & video(1R1V) based driver assistance functions. Responsible for base perception and situational data analysis. These functions can include Lane Keep Assist (LKAS), Fusion for automatic emergency braking (AEB) or Pedestrian /Cyclist Protection (AEB-VRU), Traffic Sign recognition (TSR), Road Departure Mitigation (RDM), High beam Switch Assist (HSA), as well as advanced functions like traffic jam assist (TJA), highway assist (HWA). Responsible for front camera vehicle debugging / troubleshooting using automotive development tools such as CANalyzer, CANape, CanOE and Matlab. Responsible for radar/video vehicle integration of semi-autonomous systems, employing proficient experience and understanding of vehicle powertrains, vehicle dynamics and specific knowledge in chassis systems. Responsible for bench and vehicle testing (public road and test track) for system validation and tuning, ensuring safe and efficient test case execution. Responsible for in-vehicle and simulation/bench performance calibration of camera sensor-based algorithms to meet both objective and subjective customer and Bosch performance specifications. Evaluate customer specifications, translating to system & test requirements in Rational DOORS and RQM, evaluate requirements and test coverage, and support issue / defect tracking. Define and document test cases / test strategy, analyze and document test data / results. Recommend software logic changes for performance issues that cannot be solved via parameter tuning. Support SW development effort through use of C++ knowledge and proficiency with SW management tools like GIT, Bit Bucket, JIRA. Support system development, validation, and delivery activities according to Bosch guidelines. Support test drives with customer. Organize /Execute performance evaluation and validation test trips. Serve as point of contact to the OEM for application topics, prepare technical presentations for customer. Train/mentor interns, co-ops and peers. Support technical project management tasks. REQS: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Automotive Systems Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering or a related field plus 5 years of experience as an ADAS Camera/Vision Calibration Application Engineer, ADAS/AD Systems Calibration Engineer, Product Engineer, or occupation involving calibration and tuning of parameters in vehicle testing. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Designing and executing validation test cases (in vehicle and on bench) based on system level requirements; (2) Performing vehicle and systems integration, including debugging, troubleshooting of vehicle systems, or using advanced automotive development tools; (3) Working with cross-functional teams (Software development, systems engineering, program management regarding testing, or software quality and cost reduction); (4) Configuring and maintaining bench setups to enable hardware in the loop environments for determining system performance indicators or analyzing software behavior; (5) Performing application tuning optimizations (parameter calibrations) to improve system performance based on established criteria.
