Requisition ID: 75137 Description The Sr Assembler performs a wide variety of electronic or electromechanical assembly tasks in support of developmental requirements in pre-production projects. This is a highly skilled assembly position requiring experience assembling and soldering electrical components, systems and assemblies. Responsibilities + Perform hand soldering of electronic assemblies, components and systems. + Works from rough schematics, blueprints and oral instructions to construct developmental assemblies, sub-assemblies and components. + May perform rework and quality testing. + Work typically includes interaction with design, development and/or manufacturing engineering personnel. + Experience on components/assemblies, including PCBs and Circuit Boards is required. Required Experience and Skills + High school diploma or equivalent, associated degree in technical field preferred. + Two+ years in an equipment and/or process technician role with extensive hands on experience. + Knowledge of semiconductor assembly processes including but not limited to die sorting, chip and wire or flip chip die attach, epoxy or solder dispense + IPC J-STD-001 Certification + Experience with assembly of high power RF products preferred. + Demonstrated ability to carry out defined tasks independently with minimum supervision. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Desired Experience and Skills + Experience with manual die attach including manual dispensing and die handling + Experience with manual and auto wire bonding preferred + Experience performing soldering under microscope + Ability to read and work from Assembly prints and schematics + Minding quality and detailed work, with precision and care The typical base pay range for this role is currently CAD $23.56 - $35.63 per hour . Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, and the ultimate job duties and requirements.
