Sr. Associate, Business Analyst

The primary focus of the  Sr. Associate, Business Analyst is provides support for Digital related strategic initiatives at the site by working with site stakeholders to understand business requirements and collaborating with Digital Solution Areas to determine solution fit within the current system portfolio.  The position engages with the site business to identify an define scope for continuous improvements initiatives and related solutions that can be leveraged across the PGS Plant Network. This position can lead specific site projects and assist with implementation of global standard solutions at the site.  This position works with the Sr Manager, PGS Digital Site Lead to manage the site PGS BT portfolio and ensure programs are delivered to meet or exceed site goals.   This position facilitates and provides on-going monitoring of support for all Digital Systems and services used at the site.  Also, must facilitate and provide on-going monitoring of support for all BT Systems and Services (core, non-core, local, infrastructure, etc.) used at the site.   The position will escalate support issues with Digital Solution Teams, BTAMS (Application Management Services) , and Digital Infrastructure teams as need.  Must provide local Digital applications not under BTAMS scope.  Also,  leads site-specific and regional projects, assists with the implementation of global solutions for the Toluca site, and serves as the primary point of contact as needed.

Key responsibilities are below:

Problem resolution:Provides support to clients in response to Service Center tickets, Service Requests and ad hoc requests, meeting or exceeding established service level agreements.Resolves problems and identifies issue-prevention opportunities and solutions, demonstrating true service excellence.

On-going client support:Interfaces with clients in the understanding of business requirementsActively engaged with the business to identify and develop continuous improvement initiatives at the site.  Develops business case for continuous improvement activities. Engages with Global Domain staff in the identification, evaluation, and recommendation of solutions.Assists with definition of solution scope and development of project plans and budgets.Articulates vision, selection criteria, and rationale for preferred solution during PGM-Digital review.Demonstrates intermediate knowledge of hardware, software, and use and application of technologies, and demonstrates basic knowledge of a major technical area and other supported areas.

Solution development:Develops local Digital solutions to meet basic business-related requirements that are outside the scope of established Global solutions.Engaged with the business while working with the global model resources to identify and define process improvements utilizing existing application footprint.Solutions typically utilize commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software in lieu of custom development and are practical, risk-balanced, and end-to-end in scope.Provides project level systems analysis with an emphasis on Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) documentation activities.Performs testing to demonstrate viability of solutions.Participates in the effort to educate clients on the end-to-end nature of solutions.As required, serves as the primary point of contact for less complex project implementations and technical solutions.

Documentation:Assists in the development of clearly written specification documents, work instructions, qualification, and/or support and training materials.Prepares routine reports or status updates for clients on the status of systems or program roll-outs.Prepares and maintains sections of presentations on implementation initiatives as required.Maintains end-to-end models of technical implementations in appropriate support tools.Benchmarking:Conducts performance and functionality benchmarking of less complex Digital systems and business unit plans to identify areas of opportunity.Performs research on industry best practices.As appropriate, participates in or reviews materials published by professional organizations and local associations to contribute towards recommendations for standards and practices.Compliance:Engage with PGS Digital Compliance to ensure the right policies and programs are in place to maintain system compliance with GXP regulations and Pfizer Policy and standards.Serve as ISO (Information Security Officer) to ensure compliance with Pfizer’s Information Security policies.Support BCP and DRP activities and practices.Lead at the site level inspection readiness activities relating to Digital and promote awareness with the site Audit and Quality teams

Education:

Bachelor of Science degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Engineering, Technology Management, or relevant disciplines required

Prior Experience:

3+ years’ business analyst experience contributing to IT projectsExperience with/exposure to the software development life cycleGood documentation experienceStrong problem-solving skills with ability of accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgement

Basic Qualifications:

Knowledge of feature prioritization techniquesFoundational knowledge and methods to identify, engage, and build empathy with their customers, and apply these methods to their daily workA curious and highly motivated self-starter who can work effectively across cross-functional teams and can independently drive progress toward completion with proper planning and managementExperience using standard requirements business analysis techniques, including brainstorming, interviewing, requirements sessions, activity diagrams and use casesPassion for creating user-centric digital and interactive experiencesOutstanding communication skills, both written and verbalMeticulous attention to detailAbility to produce and track multiple deliverables simultaneouslyExtensive experience with Jira and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Manage cross team collaborative effortsFacilitation, negotiating, and presentation skillsExperience working in ambiguous situationsWillingness to work either informally or formally contributing on various-size teams of technologists, IT professionals or project managers using Agile, DevOps, and other approaches for iterative developmentAbility/desire to collaborate and work effectively in team settings, frequently in virtual teams with client partner and customer engagement responsibilitiesExperience using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, PowerApps, Power BI, Etc), SharePointExperience in Microsoft Teams
