ABOUT THE POSITION

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized candidate for a Sr. Associate, Treasury position. The successful candidate will demonstrate superior communication skills, problem solving skills, and detail-oriented organizational skills. This role reports into the Sr. Director, Treasury.

The Sr. Associate will support the Sr. Director of Treasury across all treasury activities. Initial duties will include issuing, forecasting, tracking and reporting on all outstanding letters of credit, surety bonds, and parent guarantees. Additional duties will include tracking project insurance requirements and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations by working with insurance brokers.  Ad-hoc special projects will compile approximately 25% of the role. This position requires an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, unstructured environment, collaborating with internal and external teams to achieve deadlines and enjoys creating and implementing new processes and procedures. This will be a high visibility role on a small but growing team, providing the opportunity for the right candidate to grow their career within the organization.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Track deliverables across financing agreements (Letter of credit facility, revolving debt facility, operational solar projects, development/construction loans and other facilities), become SME on financing agreements. Manage notices that are delivered under various financing and project agreements.   Ensure treasury compliance with all facility reporting requirements Lead point-of-contact for insurance brokers for day-to-day project and vendor insurance requirement reviews Create monthly cash spend reports by project and track variance to forecast Coordinate, document, and forecast security posting requirements with development, legal, and treasury teams.   Track & Report on company hedge positions Perform financial covenant testing to meet contractual compliance Support with periodic reconciliations of major accounts; cash reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, etc. Prepare board-level presentations for monthly and quarterly reporting. Work closely with Sr. Director, Treasury, on Company Ad-hoc projects as needed 

 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: 

Degree or Advanced Degree 3+ years of relevant experience Proactive approach to problem solving Process oriented with the ability to enhance or design new processes where needed Ability to manage highly confidential information appropriately Ability to work independently Understanding of banking industry, knowledge in banking documents Excellent analytical skills with ability to communicate complex issues in a clear, concise manner Financial modeling skills, excel skills   Extremely detail-oriented, highly organized   Adaptable to changing goals and constraints. Effective in working with multiple stakeholders and within cross functional teams A positive, team-oriented attitude to match our friendly work environment 

 

NICE TO HAVES: 

Advanced excel modeling skills  Insurance experience a plus Experience with private equity reporting Understanding of solar and/or storage development project life cycle
