Purpose:
The Associate, Senior Associate, Manager, Senior Manager, Engagement & Diversity Delivery, is responsible for supporting the identification and delivery of innovative approaches/vendors/third parties to implement and support recruitment and retention strategies for diverse patient populations. This role aims to accelerate enrollment and improve retention across trials/programs. The Associate, Senior Associate, Manager, Senior Manager ensures that the chosen approaches/vendors meet or exceed the expectations of therapeutic recruitment and retention strategies, optimizing their value. Collaboration with colleagues in the Patient Engagement organization is essential to optimize strategy delivery, including content generation, vendor performance, best practices, and issue escalation. The Associate, Senior Associate, Manager, Senior Manager oversees the financial aspects of the strategy, enhancing effective approaches, and pausing ineffective ones. Additionally, the role involves collaborating within Clinical Capabilities and across Clinical Design Delivery and Analytics (CDDA) to share best practices, drive efficiency, and influence key stakeholders. The Associate, Senior Associate, Manager, Senior Manager promotes a culture of quality, inspection readiness, and timely decision-making to support the delivery of Lilly’s assets.

Technical Acumen:
Employ skills to operationalize clinical trial recruitment and retention strategies for representative populations across therapeutic areas, making informed decisions, working with and influencing peers and leadership to optimize delivery.
Execute clinical trial strategy through goal-setting frameworks, innovative patient recruitment and retention approaches, and timely delivery to regulatory authorities.
Collaborate with Clinical Capabilities and CDDA representatives to create, implement, and measure diversity strategies.
Apply community-based research capabilities to increase access to clinical trials for representative populations.
Partner with the Engagement & Diversity Capabilities & Services Management representative to establish key performance indicators for vendor/third party performance.
Ensure the creation of culturally sensitive, health-literate deliverables to optimize recruitment and retention strategies.
Maintain and expand relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance enrollment and retention of representative populations

Continuously improve by understanding patient/caregiver and investigator needs/challenges and driving internal change to improve their experiences.
Lead cross-functional communication and shared learning to ensure common understanding of experiences, accountabilities, and best practices.
Drive the adoption of innovative approaches to ensure successful recruitment and retention of representative patient populations, proactively mitigating issues to optimize delivery.
Utilize data and dashboard trends for continuous learning and improvement of future studies/programs.
Engage and assess external capabilities/vendors/third parties to maintain a competitive edge in recruitment and retention strategies.
Interact with industry representatives to learn best practices and seek opportunities to shape environmental practices.
Foster a culture of partnership and shared learning to identify best practices and standardize approaches for efficiency and optimized value.
Support the integration of cultural understanding into strategy delivery for successful implementation in clinical programs.
Apply innovation and lessons learned in real time.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
Bachelor degree in a scientific or health-related field or equivalent
Minimum 3 years experience in clinical trials/drug development
Other Information/Additional Preferences:
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with project management tools and processes
Proven ability to influence and deliver to timelines
Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills to interact with representative groups and individuals
Demonstrated organizational and critical thinking skills
Prior experience managing complex/cross-functional projects
Strong understanding of the clinical drug development processes and the interdependencies of the various tasks/functions
Experience working at and/or with clinical research investigators and representatives
Demonstrated ability to lead and influence team members and extended team members toward a common goal
Ability to anticipate and resolves key technical, operational, or business problems
Ability to drive and generate innovative solutions to increase clinical trial access for representative populations
Minimal travel required: 10%
