About the Team
We are the Deployment and Adoption Platform (DAP) engineering team at Workday -- primarily responsible for delivering cloud- based software tools to onboard new customers and allow existing customers to uptake new Workday products. This includes tools for data transformation, validation, migration and loading of sophisticated data structures, on live systems, in the cloud.We're a team based in North America with a focus of our team members in Salt Lake City, building tools that allows implementers and customers to have more insight into the most complex changes that impact their deployment. As we continue to grow and evolve our systems to meet customer demands, we are looking for a Sr Associate Software Engineer to help drive the development and future of DAP tools.
About the Role
Work with Product Management, engineers and customer teams to gather requirements, plan feature delivery and deliver on designs and implementation.Work as part of an agile software team to ensure engineering principles and quality are a core component of feature delivery.Supply ideas for continually improving the designs and scalability of the products and services delivered.Work in a high trust and innovative environment where collaboration is crucial.With an emphasis on teamwork, you will develop solutions using the various technologies including JavaScript, Python, XpressO (an internally developed language), GitHub, Jenkins, and other technologies.You will work on designing, implementing and participating in our tool portfolio where performance and resiliency will be essential.About You
Basic Qualifications
2+ years development experience with one or more of the following languages: Scala, Java, Go, Javascript, PythonProfessional experience with virtualization tools such as Jenkins, Docker, KubernetesBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering or Software Development, or similarOther Qualifications
Experience designing and building REST based APIsExperience within the Workday ecosystem or frameworksExperience working with agile methodologies and principles.Experience with cloud based solutionsFamiliarity with LLMs, AI technologies or prompt engineeringWorked on build pipelines, continuous integration, deployment and monitoring utilities

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
