Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Auditor to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Portland, Oregon. This role requires an experienced and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in internal auditing across financial, operational, and compliance areas. Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive internal audits covering financial, operational, and compliance areas.
• Collaborate with business units to assess and improve internal control processes.
• Design and implement remediation plans to address control gaps and ensure compliance.
• Lead discussions with stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities and provide actionable recommendations.
• Perform testing of controls and document findings in the appropriate system.
• Assist in preparing and presenting audit findings to management and stakeholders.
• Utilize advanced knowledge of auditing frameworks, such as COBIT, to ensure robust control environments.
• Stay up-to-date with industry practices and integrate new tools and techniques into audit processes.
• Efficiently manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced auditors as needed. Requirements • Minimum of 8 years of internal audit experience, including at least 3 years with a Big 4 firm.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field; relevant certifications such as CPA or CIA are highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of auditing frameworks and standards, including COBIT.
• Proficiency in 365 tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail).
• Experience with ServiceNow or similar applications, with the ability to quickly learn new systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Proven ability to lead meetings, manage follow-ups, and effectively communicate with stakeholders.
• Comfortable working in a high-paced environment with strict deadlines.
