SUMMARY: Performs complex, routine and non-routine repairs, checks and installations of all Avionics systems on aircraft while working under limited supervision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
+ Within budgeted or estimated time, repair, modify, install, and perform routine and non-routine maintenance of all Avionics systems with a high degree of proficiency and with minimal assistance.
+ Accurately interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, system schematics, drawings, engineering orders and other documents from both the customer and ATS to determine feasibility and method of repair, replacement or modification.
+ Using detailed knowledge of the aircraft systems and their operation, apply deductive concepts to troubleshoot and isolate defective components.
+ Assist Leads with planning, productions, and quality assurance of assigned projects. Assist with the training and development of Technicians.
+ Properly utilize Avionics test equipment to perform systems test and keep abreast of new and advanced test equipment and the use of such equipment. Properly utilized and maintain Avionics hand tools to perform repairs and installations.
+ Keep leadership and co-workers apprised of work progress and/or problems.
+ Regular and predictable attendance.
+ Effective and appropriate conduct with co-workers.
+ Operate ground support equipment e.g. power carts, Hi-Reach, etc. as required.
+ Other duties may be assigned.

SAFETY RESPONSIBILITY:
Duties shall include observing all company, health, safety and environmental rules, ensuring that you are provided with full information on your area specific safety issues, all unique hazards are identified, and you are provided with the proper equipment to carry out your job in a safe manner. Also, the entire work area must be maintained to a high standard of housekeeping and have a low incidence of physical hazards, and all accidents must be promptly reported to your supervisor or manager.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
+ Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with other maintenance personnel at all levels regarding all job-related issues.
+ Must have detailed knowledge of Avionics systems and their operation and the proven ability to troubleshoot basic to complex problems.
+ Must have a broad knowledge of other aircraft systems, e.g., hydraulic, flight controls, etc., and major components.
+ Demonstrated ability to research proper hand tools utilizing standard wiring practices manuals.
+ Ability to perform basic to intermediate mathematical functions such as add, subtract, and divide into units of measure, and ability to compute rates, rations, and percentages.
PHYSICAL EFFORT AND DEXTERITY:
+ While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to work within confined or small spaces, sit, use their hands and arms, talk or hear, and focus on objects close up.
+ The employee will be required to ascend ladders varying in size, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
+ The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally, with help, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
+ Must have full-color vision and visual acuity with or without corrective lenses.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
+ High school diploma or GED AND one year as an ATS Avionics Technician II OR 5 years recent relevant related avionics experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience/training.
+ Airframe license is required.
Compensation
This position's full base pay range is $29.00 - $39.00 (expressed as hourly for non-exempt) , exclusive of benefits or potential bonuses. The lower end of the range represents the target base pay for those beginning or developing in the role. The higher end of the range is intended for those who have mastered the role with proven significant expertise, high achievement, and specialized skills. If you are hired at ATS, your hourly rate will be based on factors including skills, education, and experience. In addition to those factors – we consider the internal equity of our current employees when determining offers. This position is eligible for an annual bonus. We also offer a generous benefits package, as detailed below.
