General Purpose:
The Sr. Business Analyst - Logistics and Distribution will serve as a strategic partner and subject matter expert, driving initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and optimize costs within the logistics and distribution network. This role will play a critical part in analyzing, designing, and implementing tools and processes to build a best-in-class logistics function. The ideal candidate will combine deep logistics expertise with exceptional analytical and strategic planning skills to deliver meaningful improvements across the supply chain.

Position Summary, Responsibilities, and Expectations:

Analyze and Optimize Logistics Networks: Evaluate and optimize the company’s logistics network, identifying opportunities for cost reduction, efficiency improvements, and service enhancements. Develop and Execute Freight Cost Models: Build and maintain complex freight estimate models to support accurate budgeting, cost analysis, and decision-making. Support Distribution Strategy: Contribute to the development of distribution profiles and scenarios for new distribution hubs, analyzing the financial and operational impacts to the overall network. Drive Process Improvement: Document, analyze, and improve logistics and distribution processes using methodologies such as value stream mapping. Proactively identify opportunities for streamlining workflows, automating tasks, and enhancing operational performance. Metrics and Reporting: Design and deliver insightful metrics, dashboards, and reports for executive and operational audiences, leveraging advanced BI tools to visualize key performance indicators and track progress toward goals. Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with IT, finance, and operations teams to ensure logistics costs are accurately captured, tracked, and visible. Represent logistics in cross-functional IT and business projects, ensuring requirements are clearly defined, solutions are tested, and expectations are met. Support RFP Development: Collaborate on Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for logistics providers or new distribution hubs, analyzing vendor capabilities and their impact on overall costs and performance. Ensure Data Quality and Integrity: Maintain data accuracy and documentation in logistics systems, ensuring seamless integration across the ERP and other tools. Support Tools and Systems: Support the implementation and optimization of logistics tools, including Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS), ensuring they meet business needs and improve execution capabilities. Travel: Up to 10% domestic and international travel may be required to support initiatives.

Essential Skills and Experience:

Experience and Expertise: 7+ years of experience as a business analyst or in a similar role, with a focus on logistics and supply chain. Demonstrated ability to evaluate, design, and implement logistics and distribution tools (WMS, TMS, or similar systems). Deep understanding of freight cost modeling and logistics network optimization. Strong background in leading or contributing to large-scale process improvement and cost reduction initiatives. Technical Skills: Advanced data analysis and visualization skills using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar. Hands-on experience with ERP systems; Oracle experience is highly preferred. SQL knowledge is a plus for data extraction and manipulation. Proficiency in process mapping tools such as Visio or comparable. Strategic Thinking and Communication: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to balance strategic vision and operational execution. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and explain complex analyses to non-technical audiences. Work Style: Self-starter with an innovative approach to problem-solving. Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Collaborative team player who can build relationships across departments and levels.

For roles that are based at our headquarters in Milpitas, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.  

Annual Salary Range $150,000—$170,000 USD
