Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior BI Developer with expertise in SQL, Power BI, and other BI tools to join our team. This role is ideal for a seasoned BI professional who not only has advanced technical skills but also aspires to transition into leadership and management. As a Senior BI Developer, you will lead data initiatives, design innovative BI solutions, and play a critical role in mentoring junior team members. This is a growth-oriented position with a defined pathway toward management opportunities. Requirements + Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into data models, dashboards, and reports using Power BI, SQL, and similar BI tools. + Design, develop, and maintain robust data warehouse environments to support reporting and analytics. + Optimize SQL queries and data pipelines for performance and efficiency. + Develop and maintain enterprise BI solutions, making key decisions in data visualization best practices. + Create innovative dashboards and actionable insights to support decision-making across the organization. + Oversee the integration and maintenance of BI tools within the organization's infrastructure. + Mentor and guide junior BI Developers and team members, sharing best practices and technical knowledge. + Stay updated on the latest BI trends and tools, evaluating new technologies to improve workflow efficiency. + Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement strategic BI initiatives for long-term organizational growth. + Assist in standing up processes that promote best practices in collaboration, data governance, and team leadership. Qualifications: Technical Skills: + Advanced proficiency in SQL for querying, performance tuning, and ETL processes. + Expertise in Power BI, including DAX, data modeling, and creating dynamic dashboards. + Experience with additional BI tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikView) is a plus. + Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, including star/snowflake schema design and ETL pipelines. + Familiarity with cloud-based data services (e.g., Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud) is a strong plus. + Strong understanding of relational and non-relational database concepts. Professional Experience: + Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on BI development experience in a corporate setting. + Proven ability to work cross-functionally and interface with stakeholders at all organizational levels. + Experience in leading projects or mentoring junior team members is highly valued. + Demonstrated ability to problem-solve complex data issues and provide scalable solutions. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on translating data into actionable insights for non-technical audiences. Leadership Pathway: + Strong interest and competency in taking on team leadership and managerial responsibilities over time. + Past experience in training or mentorship is a plus but not required. + Willing to grow into a role that involves team management, resource planning, and strategic leadership.
