Job Summary: We are seeking a Senior Buyer/Planner to join our team and lead efforts in customer service excellence, inventory optimization, and supply chain communication. This senior-level role involves coordinating production, customer service, and inventory management goals, while proactively resolving complex issues and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The Senior Buyer/Planner will develop procurement strategies, improve supply chain processes, and mentor junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management: Set safety stocks, manage inventory, and ensure accurate Material Master settings to optimize fill rates, COTD, and inventory turns. Implement best practices to enhance overall supply chain efficiency. Supplier Management: Oversee supplier relationships, set order completion dates, expedite orders, and review lead times to meet delivery expectations. Develop long-term supplier strategies to improve lead time, reduce costs, and enhance collaboration. Continuous Improvement: Drive improvements in inventory control strategies, lead times, and lot sizes. Research new opportunities and design creative concepts that align with overall brand direction and objectives. Documentation and Compliance: Ensure all pertinent Material Master settings are reviewed for accuracy. Maintain high-quality standards and ensure projects are completed on schedule.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field preferred; General 4-year business degree acceptable. 5-7 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or materials planning, with expertise in inventory management and supplier relations. Advanced proficiency in SAP, Outlook, and Excel. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. APICS CPIM certification and experience in Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement processes preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Extended periods of sitting and/or standing at a workstation. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing for extended periods over the phone and in person. Regular attendance at work is essential. Minimal travel required.
