Sr. Client Advocate

The Role 

The Northeast Education Leader is responsible for providing strategic relationship development within the purchasing communities of all related education entities while balancing two main responsibilities: Driving and deepening relationships of education buyers and managing a portfolio of clients. 

The Northeast Education Leader is:

Responsible for understanding and marshaling Willis Towers Watson’s resources to provide coordinated service and placement activities that meet the client’s insurance and risk management needs.  Responsible for ensuring relevant regulatory and technical standards are met.  Leverages advanced skill set with knowledge to design and consult with clients on insurance coverage and services; uses understanding of clients’ needs to expand business opportunities and further solidify client relationships.  Has the ability to focus on delivering exceptional customer service while working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.  

 Specific duties include, but are not limited to: 

Developing new and existing relationships with prospects and current clients in order to expand the presence of the Education Industry Holding and retaining existing book of business; develop, and strengthen client relationships  Identifying, engaging, and integrating delivery of all WTW internal resources to enhance branding and the education community’s understanding of the benefit of selecting WTW as their provider  Driving the Request for Proposal (RFP) response process, including review, identification, and coordination of line of business groups, and document ownership.  Providing strategic planning and consulting advice to clients; monitoring insurance and risk management needs in collaboration with WTW resource, practice, and industry groups.  Recommending appropriate solutions throughout the policy life cycle (including acquisition due diligence).  Designing, preparing, negotiating, and delivering fee/compensation agreements to clients.  Designing and delivering full client presentations/proposals, client advocacy reports, client service plans, and schedules.  Increasing (maximizing) the profitability of the client account and ensuring retention of that business over time.  Developing relevant thought leadership and engaging the risk management communities; such as regional and local RIMS chapters. Engaging with Sales and Broking to understand marketplace changes.  Creating project risk profiles and preparing marketing materials for underwriting and placement of casualty coverages in the marketplace (Primary and excess for practice and projects)  Facilitating binding of broadest available coverage in alignment with the risk profile.  Building and developing market relationships in collaboration with broking and sales; designing individual prospect sales strategies and develop growth pipelines.  Conducting contract reviews to ensure alignment of obligations.  Providing strategic design and lead resources to manage large property and Master Builders Risk programs along with large complex project coverage.   Driving the renewal process to establish and implement the client-specific renewal strategy. Collaborating with WTW resource, practice, and industry groups to develop and deliver renewal to clients.

Targeted Requirements 

8-10+ years of commercial Property & Casualty insurance experience in a client-facing role with industry knowledge in Education. Strong Education risk management background of 10+ yearsKnowledge of commercial insurance renewal end-to-end process steps and owners. Able to leverage internal and external relationships to bring WTW resources and assets tailored to client needs; ability to drive conflict resolution. Able to interpret, analyze and present models. Superior negotiation skills to develop innovative and creative solutions for complex deals, driving consensus across internal and external stakeholders to close deals. Knowledge of strategy, tactics, and solutions for the client, and/or in the marketplace. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; group presentation skills, ability to drive complex/technical conversations. Effectively advocates for change. Provides encouragement, takes control of team projects, leads key work areas, collaborates with others, and provides clear guidance to ensure others fulfill roles effectively.  Excellent project management skills including end-to-end oversight of large, complex, ambiguous, or multi-dimensional projects. Competency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Insurance P&C License required. Travel required. This position will remain posted for a minimum of three business days from the date posted or until a sufficient/appropriate candidate slate has been identified.

Compensation and Benefits 

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).

Compensation 
 
The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $200,000- $240,000 USD per year.

This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
