**Job Description Summary**
Preparation of proposals/bids, contract negotiation and compliance with contract commitments and commercial risk assessment Impacts the team's ability to achieve service, quality and timeliness of objectives. Subject to Commercial policy objectives. Has independence in achieving commercial objectives within operating budgets and operating guidelines. There is moderate autonomy within the role to enter into/execute Commercial arrangements. High levels of Commercial judgment are required to achieve outcomes required.
**Job Description**
**Roles and Responsibilities**
+ Lead customer negotiations, ensuring an acceptable risk profile for GE and Prolec-GE given the specific scope of supply and deal dynamics; engage with approvers and subject-matter experts as necessary
+ Review and redline customer terms and conditions (T&Cs) and other commercial documents
+ Manage team of Contract Managers, organizing workload, managing expectations with key stakeholders, measuring and being accountable for KPIs including turn-around time for redlines and say/do ratio with internal and external customers
+ Ensure team is properly staffed, trained and prepared to manage current and forecasted workload
+ Own compliance to processes and governance requirements of GE and Prolec-GE; maintain proper records or approvals, minutes of meeting, and final versions of the agreements
+ Own compliance with US Government requirements and other processes which require specific approvals (Nuclear, International Trade Controls, cyber-security, local content, tax benefits, etc)
+ Manage any issues that require escalation, both with customers and approvers at GE or Prolec-GE; resolve issues and drive contract negotiations across the finish line
+ Drive change management and challenge current commercial processes to reduce cycle times, improve service quality & mitigation plans and define appropriate commercial strategy; liaise with stakeholders at Prolec-GE to lead change management process
+ Maintain knowledge of market trends, customer requirements, competitor actions and customer base; interface with internal and external customers, identify customer needs
**Required Qualifications**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Legal, Engineering or related area from an accredited university or college
+ Minimum of 7 years of experience in Commercial Operations, contract management, legal (contracts), sales, tendering, bid management and/or project management
**Desired Characteristics**
+ Experience with complex projects, developing complex proposals or structuring complex deals especially in the Energy Sector.
+ Experience with Power Transformers
+ In-depth knowledge of contractual terms and conditions; experience in structuring and negotiating contracts to minimize business risk
+ Experience with complex services contracts (Long-Term Service Agreements)
+ Strong contractual & negotiation skills
+ Ability to influence and lead cross functional teams
+ Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills
+ Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

The salary range for this position is 128,400.00 -171,100 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a variable incentive performance bonus of 15%.
