About This Job
We are looking for a Sr. Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Analyst to support our Commercial Real Estate Specialty Lending Group with portfolio management and underwriting. You will support the team in reviewing consents, extensions, and amendments of existing loans as well as new loan opportunities.Qualifications:
Manage and monitor existing portfolio of construction and bridge loans
Track loan covenants and follow up with counterparties for owed deliverables or information
Compose and perform quality checks on quarterly loan reviews summarizing the status of each loan
Analyze commercial real estate, such as property level evaluations, market analysis, financial viability assessment of real estate development projects, etc
Analyze commercial real estate collateral across an array of collateral types (multifamily, condos, industrial, self-storage, hotels, SFR, land, retail, etc.)
Analyze the corporate structure of borrowers
Analyze due diligence materials, financials, third-party reports, and pro-forma assumptions
Compose memorandums and presentations for commercial real estate financing opportunities by supporting recommendations with logical detailed analysis and metrics
Assist bankers in the underwriting, due diligence and closing process of commercial real estate loans, in accordance with applicable regulations and policies
Implement process improvements that are carefully researched and supported by data
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration or similar
2+ years' experience in commercial real estate
2+ years' experience in the underwriting, structuring, or portfolio management of commercial real estate transactions
2+ years' experience with a banking institution, private credit fund, insurance company, CRE brokerage firm, REIT, or CRE investment firm
Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUP etc.)
