Position Overview International has a great opportunity for a Sr. Compensation Consultant. In this highly visible role the individual will support the administration of the company's compensation programs and policies and will provide expertise and leadership in regard to compensation and pay regulations, ensuring competitive and equitable pay practices. The successful candidate will proactively identify compensation needs for the company on a current and forward-looking basis, and partner with leaders of all levels of the company. The position will be remote but the individual must be willing to come onsite monthly to our Corporate HQ in Lisle, Illinois for meetings and other events. Responsibilities Lead the development, implementation and on-going administration of the company’s compensation programs and policies for a wide array of employee populations primarily in the U.S., including but not limited to, salaried, hourly, represented, non-represented, executive, etc. Provide guidance to the business and develop solutions on a variety of compensation issues Provide guidance to HR and management on compensation systems, compensation policy interpretation and job evaluations. Advise on the classification of new and existing positions and ensure continued compliance with government regulations (i.e., Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), etc.). Support compensation survey participation and the integration of results into internal and external systems Support projects such as salary structure analyses, salary and performance increase budget planning and market assessments to ensure external competitiveness and internal equity is maintained. Partner with sales and finance teams to design and administer the company’s sales incentive and commission plans. Lead the administration of the annual incentive award process, the performance increase process and other compensation related activities. Administer the company’s service anniversary program(s). Perform analysis on effectiveness and competitiveness of existing compensation programs and model potential impact of alternatives which are consistent with compensation trends and organization goals. Create and maintain jobs and job descriptors, using market data and internal evaluation. Support HR and management by creating and analyzing various annual, monthly and ad-hoc reports Provide support as necessary and serve as back-up for all executive compensation and long-term incentive plan matters. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree At least 8 years of compensation, benefits, or HR experience At least 1 year of lead experience OR Master’s degree At least 6 years of compensation, benefits, or HR experience At least 1 year of lead experience OR At least 10 years of compensation, benefits, or HR experience At least 1 year of lead experience Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. International Motors does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status) Desired Skills Advanced analytical skills and the ability to get into the details, while also seeing and understanding the big picture Demonstrate high proficiency in Excel Ability to work independently, take on responsibility and manage multiple critical deliverables in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment. Strong interpersonal skills Experience supporting diverse cross-functional stakeholders Strong communication skills (both written and oral) Ability to communicate effectively with employees and leaders at all levels of the company.
