International has a great opportunity for a Sr. Compensation Consultant.
In this highly visible role the individual will support the administration of the company's compensation programs and policies and will provide expertise and leadership in regard to compensation and pay regulations, ensuring competitive and equitable pay practices.
The ideal candidate possesses the ability to proactively identify both current and future compensation needs for the company, collaborates effectively with leaders at all levels of the organization, and demonstrates strong project management skills along with experience in sales bonus plan design and administration.
The position will be remote but the individual must be willing to come onsite monthly to our Corporate HQ in Lisle, Illinois for meetings and other events.
Responsibilities
Project Management for Compensation Initiatives
Lead cross-functional projects to design, evaluate, and implement compensation-related solutions, ensuring timely delivery of project goals and stakeholder alignment.Develop detailed project plans, define key milestones, and coordinate resources to ensure efficient execution of initiatives such as sales bonus program rollouts, annual salary planning, and market review processes.Identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities within projects, implementing mitigation strategies to achieve success.Incentive Administration and Compliance
Administer annual incentive award processes, performance increase programs, and other compensation-related activities, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and policies.Provide support for executive compensation and long-term incentive plan administration, serving as a backup as needed.Maintain oversight of service anniversary programs and other recognition initiatives, ensuring smooth and effective delivery.Sales Bonus Plan Design and Administration
Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the company’s sales bonus plans, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and sales strategies.Partner with Sales, Finance, and HR teams to design incentive structures that drive performance, motivate sales teams, and remain competitive within the market.Conduct market benchmarking and internal analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of sales bonus plans, making data-driven recommendations for improvements.Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements for incentive programs, including adherence to FLSA and other applicable guidelines.
Compensation Program Development and Management
Manage the design, implementation, and administration of company-wide compensation programs and policies, covering diverse employee populations, including salaried, hourly, represented, non-represented, and executive roles.Advise HR and management on compensation systems, policy interpretations, job evaluations, and market competitiveness to maintain equity and transparency.Support and lead compensation-related activities such as salary structure analyses, market assessments, and performance increase budget planning to ensure internal and external alignment.Provide input on job classifications, ensuring compliance with government regulations (FLSA, EEO, etc.), and maintain consistent documentation of roles and responsibilities.Perform detailed analyses to evaluate the effectiveness and competitiveness of existing compensation programs, modeling potential outcomes of proposed changes.
Stakeholder Collaboration and Support
Act as a strategic advisor to HR, business leaders, and management on a variety of compensation-related matters, offering tailored solutions to meet evolving business needs.Create and deliver training or communication materials to ensure employees and leaders understand the objectives and mechanics of incentive and compensation plans.Support the classification of new and existing positions by evaluating roles and benchmarking against internal and external data to ensure alignment with organizational frameworks.
