Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Review month end net asset valuation packagesReview year-end Financial Statements and work directly with external auditors and client to ensure accuracy of each fund’s annual reportsInteract with client and other shared services teams to obtain understanding of funds’ activities on a month to month basisWork closely with technology resources to problem solve and improve processes that increase scalabilityDrive the accounting responsibilities related to new client launches and conversionsAssist in building a high-performance team through learning, development and recruitingActively participate within Financial Control working groups responsible for executing strategic initiativesWork integrally with international partners to troubleshoot queries and provide feedback related to the compilation of the month end net asset valuation packages

Knowledge / Skills:

Excellent written and oral communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applicationsAbility to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and with accuracyExcellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and cooperatively within a team environmentClient focused

Experience:

A minimum of 3-5 years’ experienceExperience with Investment Management and/or Financial Services; Hedge Fund specific a plusCPA designation a plusBachelor’s degree with emphasis in Accounting, Master’s degree a plusBig 4 public accounting experience a plus

Salary Range:

$83,100 - 141,300 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
