Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Sr. Contracts Manager, Delta Conveyance to join our team! In this role you will be a lead and perform both procurement and contract management duties for a major public sector infrastructure program located in Sacramento, CA.
What You'll Be Doing
This includes the solicitation and selection activities leading to the award of contracts for the agency-required services involving alternative delivery methodology, engineering services, contractors, consultants, suppliers, and vendors, and providing oversight of these contracts post-award through the application of effective management and contract compliance practices.
In the procurement phases, he or she works to provide for an appropriate, open, and fair solicitation process leading to a competitive selection process consistent with the objectives and policies of the agency owner and the project. In the contract execution phase, implements effective contract management practices and compliance, prepares and provides for the mitigation and settlement of changes and claims through the appropriate use of project correspondence, documentation practices, change management, and dispute resolution processes, and effective collaboration with program staff and owner contracting officials.
Performs reviews of project contract documents and establishes program guidelines, processes, and procedures by which contract management and compliance practices will be administered by the program team over the agency owner’s contracted parties. Serves as the point of contact for the contracts team and coordinates the interface between the contract management function and other technical, management, and control functions of the program team on contractual issues.
This position reports to the Program/Project Manager in the performance of procurement and contract management duties for an agency’s program. The reporting relationships and responsibilities may vary depending on the scope, type, and value of the program management services provided.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
12+ years of prime contract administration experience within a large international engineering and construction firm is required.
