Sr. Control Systems Engineer
**Description:** * Troubleshoots and maintains DCS (Foxboro I/A) systems and associated equipment. Assist with routine hardware and software maintenance of Foxboro I/A DCS systems. Provide startup assistance and associated DCS control modifications. * Develops and implements process control schemes and control techniques. Designs control systems for all types of refinery equipment and processes. Tunes existing process controllers. * Designs and maintains operator interface to computer supervisory controls. * Recommends changes to process design, unit operation or process control design to improve unit operation or as required for advanced control projects. * Performs economic evaluations on project scoping and lookback efforts. Develops scope for control and advanced process control projects. Develops and implements advanced DCS calculations and programs. Maintains and optimizes advanced process control programs. * Coordinate and contribute to DCS lifecycle projects * Assists process engineers in unit troubleshooting. * Develops and maintains Control Systems implementations and maintenance procedures. * Closely work with PLC, Cyber and Instrumentation personnel to successfully execute projects. This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay. **Qualifications:** * Bachelor's or higher level degree in Engineering required. * 5 years of process control/advanced process control field experience required. * Process engineering experience preferred. * Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Valero Bill Greehey Refinery, required. All successful candidates must be eligible to obtain a TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential).
