Duties & Responsibilities
Installation of low voltage controls systems Including but not limited to conduit, wiring, end device installation, terminations, control panel fabrication, wire/controls tagging Perform verification of the installation, commissioning, and operation of electrical and electronic equipment and systems related to the BAS. Inspect, test & troubleshoot low voltage power equipment and systems, network communications, end devices, peripherals, valves & actuators, relays and sensors as part of the commissioning process. Calibrate electrical or electronic equipment and instruments according to technical manuals and written instructions Commission BAS systems, end to end verification and report any anomalies. Utilizing onpoint and other internal tools/standards Provide daily updates to foreman Perform related duties as assigned by foreman/senior controls tech Deploy programming and graphics modify as required Supported by senior controls tech Utilizing software, simulate sequence of operations to verify proper operating parameters of systems and their performance Perform system verification and startups Perform control panel startups Provide mentorship to junior controls techs Attend service calls as required to diagnose and solve customer BAS issues Ability of working at heights - Proper use/inspection and assembly of Fall Protection or Fall Restraint systems Strong understanding of HVAC equipment & mechanical components and how it is related to control strategies and theories. Perform and follow proper shutdown/lockout of electrical systems. Ability of working off ladders to a height of 10-12 feet for commissioning, functional testing, end to end verification of devices and troubleshooting of equipment In certain instances, operate and use mobile powered elevating devices applicable for on-site tasks as required. Being able to drive to and from work sites on a daily / regular basis. This may involve daytime / night time driving dependent on scheduling of shifts due to client requirements.
