Sr. Controls Technician

What’s in it for you:

Where is the work:
This position is based out of  San Juan, PR office.

 

What you will do: 

·        Able to perform with broad knowledge all duties as Controls Techs Levels 3 (union position)

·        Installation, programming and troubleshooting of all Trane  Controls Systems.

·        Maintain service contract, customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action and communicating with customers and co-workers as necessary.

·        Manages and schedules service contracts.

·        Help BAS group project leader in quotes preparation to customers.

·        Provides training to customers.

·        Document work by completing paperwork on each job and maintenance file.

·        Read and review drawings and blueprints.

·        Ability to work independently, self-starter.

·        Ability to function in a team environment.

·        Coordinate preventive maintenance and keep contract costs within estimated budget.

·        Back-up software and documentation for service contract.

·        Responsible to keep contract equipment list updated.

·        Flexibility to work over time and weekends as requested by Supervisor. Some travel required.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities

·          May supervise indirect BAS project technicians in the BAS Department.

·          Responsibilities may include interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work.

 

 

What you will bring:

·        Bachelor degree in Instrumentation, engineering technology, IT/LAN  and/or  up to five years experience in  HVAC Controls. 

·        Five (5) years Trane employee.

·        Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, AutoCAD, and programming.

·        Must possess effective communication skills (verbal and written) both English and Spanish. 

·          Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. 

·          Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. 

·          Ability to effectively present information and respond
