Role Summary We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Controls Test & Integration Engineer to join our software development team. This pivotal role focuses on testing and integrating control systems for vehicle features, including high and low-voltage battery systems, and thermal management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer, electrical, or mechanical engineering, with expertise in battery or thermal control systems. This position demands a quality-driven mindset aligned with software excellence. The role emphasizes software quality insights, including root cause analysis, addressing failures, risk assessments, and test coverage metrics. As a domain-oriented role, it is critical to elevate software quality while providing leadership assurance on the performance and reliability of control software, particularly for high-voltage battery systems. Responsibilities Lead test planning, development, execution, and reporting for software qualification at Software-in-the-loop (SIL), Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL), and Automated Lab Car and Bench. Track and address software quality gaps systematically, providing measurable metrics for each OTA release. Deep dive into new failures alongside developers to understand technical root causes and define resolution timelines. Take ownership of fixing scripts and addressing root causes of failures, including those stemming from development errors. Investigate failures from a technical perspective and collaborate with developers to optimize test processes and software design. Oversee quality sign-off for embedded software at SIL, HIL, Bench, and Lab Car. Present a clear status of software quality at leadership levels during OTA sign-offs and provide a roadmap for addressing gaps. Use data analysis tools and develop scripts to process the fleet data to close the loop on the software quality and play back integration into HIL/SIL environments.
