The opportunity: We are looking for a Sr. Coord, Freight Accounts Payable, who will be responsible for daily research and resolve freight payment questions & issues regarding in-process invoices, rates, aged bills, etc. from carriers, Cass (WestRock\u2019s Freight audit & Pay 3rd party provider), OTM, JDE, SAP, and sites to validate and process invoices. How you will impact Smurfit Westrock: * Provide support to the business and carriers on overall freight audit & payment invoice processes * Review 3rd party FAP providers\u2019 exception reports overall and by plant to review spikes, obtain supporting info, and resolve * Monitor, manage, & resolve freight payment issues from the group Freight Payment email boxes * Identify patterns/trends and resolve with applicable parties * Monitor and research root cause of rating errors on manufacturing systems including AS400, 3PL FAP providers\u2019 systems, TMS systems, Transportation database, and file * Process accessorial invoices in our Transportation Management System, OTM * Monitor& resolve freight payment inquiries * Assist process improvement initiatives * Assist in ensuring Service Level Agreements are met * Work as needed with Corporate Freight Accounting What you need to succeed: * Bachelor\u2019s Degree * Minimum of 2+ years relevant experience in freight payment or financial and transportation * Excellent attention to detail and ability to organize and prioritize work * Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) * Excellent problem solving and process improvement skills * Must be a strong team player and be able to work independently * Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills * Must have ability to multi-task and an aptitude for processes * Display a sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast paced, time-sensitive environment What we offer: * Corporate culture based on integrity, respect, accountability and excellence * Comprehensive training with numerous learning and development opportunities * An attractive salary reflecting skills, competencies and potential * A career with a global packaging company where Sustainability, Safety and Inclusion are business drivers and foundational elements of the daily work Smurfit Westrock (NYSE:SW) is a global leader in sustainable paper and packaging solutions.
