Primary Accountabilities:
Work directly and independently with healthcare and product returns business areas to provide advice, counsel and legal support.Work collaboratively with other teams, including sales, product, privacy and regulatory teams, in supporting the healthcare and product returns business areas.Consult with the Division General Counsel on management of legal needs and requests for advice from healthcare and product returns business areas.Negotiate contracts as the primarily responsible attorney for numerous products across the healthcare and product returns business areas; provide support (as needed) to division contracting teams.Assist in development and evolution of division processes, policies and procedures, as needed.Identify opportunities for business improvement and support or lead initiatives to implement such improvements.Advise on various regulatory compliance issues (e.g. HIPAA, HITRUST); advise on legal risks associated with the operations of healthcare and product returns business areas and ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations; stay abreast of evolving laws and regulations.Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or universityJuris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law schoolLicensed to practice law and in good standing in at least one state5+ years legal work experience; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to complete the major responsibilities/essential functions of the position.Preferred Qualifications:
A background in technology and intellectual property is helpful, but is not requiredUnderstanding of federal and state healthcare laws and regulations (HIPAA, HITRUST, etc.) is helpful, but not requiredEmployment/Labor law experience is helpful, but not requiredIndividual Competencies:
