Job Description – Sr. Corporate Counsel, New Markets (U.S. - Remote)

 

Reporting to the Associate General Counsel - Commercial, the Sr. Corporate Counsel, New Markets is responsible for supporting commercial growth within Omnicell’s Specialty Pharmacy Services group.  The ideal candidate for this role will possess a strategic growth mindset, excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills. Responsibilities include (i) advising on strategic go to market matters; (ii) collaborating with colleagues (within and outside legal) to develop a cross functional strategy for the entire commercial life cycle, e.g. go to market process, early adopter contracts and commercial workstream; (iii) leading negotiations with prospective customers for managed pharmacy services, including specialty pharmacy, home infusion, and central fill/mail order; (iv)  leading  negotiations for pharmacy ecosystem partner agreements (i.e., direct purchase agreements, HUB agreements, quick start agreements, technology agreements, etc.); and (v) ensuring that negotiated terms adhere to the established contractual risk profile for Omnicell . This position may also support commercial activity for other Omnicell business segments as needed. Successful candidates will be both results-driven and client-focused. This is a remote US-based role. A preferred candidate will be based in the following locations: Dallas, TX, St. Petersburg, FL or Pittsburgh, PA.

 

Responsibilities:

Work closely with Omnicell’s Specialty Pharmacy Services group to support go to market process and commercial activity;  Collaborate with colleagues within and outside legal as needed to support the entire commercial life cycle (e.g. go to market, early adopter contracts and commercial workstream);  Lead negotiations with prospective customers for managed pharmacy services, including specialty pharmacy, home infusion, and central fill/mail order;  Lead negotiations for pharmacy ecosystem partner agreements;  Ensure that negotiated terms adhere to the established risk profile for Omnicell;  Work with outside counsel as needed for matters involving risk mitigation and contract formalization;  Provide sales training on legal and contract topics;  Support commercial activity for other Omnicell business segments as needed. 

 

Required Knowledge & Skills:

Strong initiative and ability and willingness to learn and seek information Ability to identify issues and to offer pragmatic, actionable solutions Experience working within fast-growing technology companies and adaptability to evolving internal and business policies and procedures Excellent written and verbal communication skills  Effective interpersonal and problem-solving skills Solid understanding of the healthcare ecosystem, particularly pharmacy business operations  Strong contract negotiation skills and a solid understanding of common legal and business terms  Ability to independently set and communicate prioritized goals and timelines to internal customers  Attention to detail and well organized Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

 

Basic Qualifications:

J.D.; member in good standing of a state Bar 5+ years of experience in healthcare industry, specialty pharmacy preferred  5+ years of experience with SaaS and professional services contracting 7+ years of experience drafting, reviewing, and leading negotiations for service agreements and complex technology transactions 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Healthcare industry experience, specialty pharmacy preferred  Experience supporting areas of corporate growth  Experience managing legal or contracting projects of at least moderate complexity
