Sr. Corporate Paralegal
Description A leading organization in the trading and commodities space is seeking an experienced Senior Paralegal or Document Specialist. This individual will work closely with legal, product, and sales teams to ensure the timely and effective delivery of contracts to support sales negotiations across the company. The ideal candidate will have significant experience with ISDA documentation practices and procedures, as well as a proven ability to manage legal documents, conduct research, and oversee document workflows. Key Responsibilities: + Review, draft, and negotiate various legal documents, including ISDA-like agreements, commodity purchase and sale agreements, and other trading-related documentation. + Conduct legal research on issues related to the trading and commodities industry. + Collaborate with attorneys, traders, and business personnel to manage document workflows and ensure transactions are completed on time. + Maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry trends related to trading and commodities. + Organize and maintain document files and databases. + Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders on legal and business matters. Requirements Required Skills and Experience: + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. + 3-5+ years of experience as a paralegal or document specialist in the trading and commodities or banking industries. + Proficiency in reviewing documents such as service agreements, NDAs, board consents, and commodity trading purchase and sale agreements. + Deep understanding of ISDA documentation practices and procedures. + Excellent organizational and time management skills, with experience handling legal documents and processes. + Familiarity with KYC/AML requirements and client onboarding processes (preferred). + Experience working with senior leadership teams. + Strong attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting. + Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. + Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and document management systems. + Passion for addressing climate change and advancing sustainability initiatives.
