JOB SUMMARY: Directs day to day department cost accounting functions to provide timely and accurate information on costing, pricing, reporting, and resource allocation, ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.
The salary range is $95k to $110k, DOE, plus bonus eligibility and car allowance.
ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Monitors and analyzes departmental financial accounts, prepares period-end journal entries, and reconciles overhead expenses to ensure accuracy, cost efficiency, and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). (20%)
Reviewing and updating GL account reconciliation. Researching discrepancy and resolving issue in account reconciliation. (10%)
Gathers and evaluates data on cost changes—including quarterly pricing, pricing schedules, and cost-saving initiatives—across products, raw materials, overhead, manufacturing methods, and labor to support pricing strategies and business decisions.. (25%)
Partners with the liquid products operations team to ensure continuity, accuracy, and clarity of financial information, enabling effective performance monitoring and financial analysis. (20%)
Manages the operations and maintenance of computerized standard cost and inventory systems to ensure timely access to accurate and relevant financial information. (10%)
Supports the capital budgeting process by ensuring proposed projects are accurately budgeted and aligned with company policies and procedures. (5%)
Conducts evaluations of special projects and feasibility studies—including those involving new products, services, or methods—to assess their impact on cost structure and revenue generation. (5%)
Supports Division Controller and Division leaders on month-end closing, budgeting, cost update and pricing. (5%)
Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary. Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and experience equivalent to:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Cost Accounting from an accredited college or university.
Experience:
2 to 4 years of related work experience in cost accounting and computerized inventory systems in a manufacturing environment.
