Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Cost Accountant to join the Kenall Team in Kenosha, WI.

 

The position will support our manufacturing & supply chain operations in Kenosha, WI. They will be the primary liaison between Finance & Manufacturing Operations. The role is responsible for the day to day financial and operational support for our Kenosha facility. This position supports all facets of the company’s manufacturing, supply chain and logistics operations with monthly accounting close, productivity reviews, financial analysis, budgets, standard costing, internal controls, and partnering with management in strategic decision making.

 

Main Job Duties:

Partner with management to ensure that organization is properly monitoring and controlling operational costs and inventory levels.Partner with operations management to actively manage budget attainment.Understand not just the numbers, but also the business activity and provide relevant data to help management in strategic decision making.Support the monthly close process. Lead efforts in inventory valuation, Excess & Obsolete reserve, standard cost variance analysis, operations productivity, and other reporting as necessary. Prepare reports and summaries as required for inclusion in financial reporting.Attends monthly S&OP process and assists in preparing data for the quarterly operations reviews.

 

Qualifications

Education:   Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or related subject matter combined with experience.

 

Experience:  5 - 7 years of relevant experience (manufacturing environment).

 

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

Strong Microsoft Excel skills are required.Must possess strong analytical skills and the ability to identify trends and establish proactive corrective actions.Requires strong organizational and time management skills, close attention to detail and be able to effectively handle multiple priorities.  Requires close attention to detail, ability to audit work to identify issues and implement processes to prevent errors.Exceptional computer skills, extensive knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and data base software, proficiency with various e-mail, calendaring, meeting management and related communications software.Able to communicate effectively both in written format and oral presentation. Able to create effective reports, presentations, and business correspondence.  Must be an effective listener, able to maintain focus extract necessary information and validate understanding of the information.Must have solid business acumen and understanding of a variety of functional areas within the business.Must be flexible and willing to pitch in and adjust their schedule as needed.Ability to work within a team environment.Possess positive “can do” attitude.
