This role will be responsible for advising the teams within the Solutions and Services Group on all legal requirements relating to Managed Services and Industry Solutions and will work with the Legal Director of Solutions and Services Group and Lead Counsel for SSG Contracts to support the establishment of Managed Services and negotiate large complex, strategic deals for the SSG Team.

Job Responsibilities (Essential functions and duties): 

Establishing legal requirements, and governance for large complex dealsOverseeing legal support and assisting in large complex dealsDevelop understanding of existing contractual commitmentsAdvising the SSG Managed Services Team on a wide range of regulatory and commercial legal issuesprovide legal support for the Lenovo Teams developing new services, software and solutionsassist with the development of new solutions and services to facilitate sales across SSG and oversea their global roll outcollaborate with internal and outside counsel, specific subject matter experts, and stakeholderswork closely with Lenovo’s lawyers, as well as services teams in the U.S., Europe, Latin America and Asia Pacific.Work closely with the Sales Team and Commercial Contract Management Team to negotiate and close large complex SSG DealsSupport the IaaS Channel Team in the establishment of the Go to Market Channel ModelsWork closely with the COE to ensure that if the COE is supporting SSG Managed Services and they have the necessary training, playbooks and templatesadvise SSG Team on a wide range of regulatory and commercial legal issueseffectively engage in issue-spotting and involving legal subject matter experts within the broader corporate-level Lenovo Legal Departmentwork efficiently to supplement internal resources across Lenovo’s geographies with advice from outside as neededdraft standard templates for new solutions and serviceswork with the GCT to establish a template library for all Services so they can be easily found and maintainedEstablish a clear engagement process between legal and service development teams

Job Requirements – Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Competencies (KSAC’s) and Prior Work Experience

12+ years’ experience corporate/commercial legal workExperience advising on the establishment of new solutions and services, SaaS, software developmentExperience in a national or global law firm, or experience as in-house commercial counsel in a global companyStrong problem-solving skillsAbility, confidence, and gravitas necessary to advise leadership within the company, exercising sound business and legal judgmentAbility to anticipate, proactively manage and mitigate legal risks; and effectively advise on risk management and mitigation​Ability to manage multiple projects, including transactional work and strategic projects, and set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, global work environmentAbility to remain calm under pressure, to learn from experience and peers, and to be a team playerFluent in Japanese and English
