Leidos is a global science and technology solutions leader working to solve the world’s toughest challenges in the defense, intelligence, homeland security, civil, and health markets. Leidos is seeking a Sr. Cryptographic Engineer with demonstrated experience with Cryptographic Product Modernization (CryptoMod) initiatives. The ideal candidate will also possess an understanding of the Key Management Infrastructure. The candidate will be able to lead the requirements analysis, systems engineering and design analysis of new capabilities that alleviate gaps identified in the updated Crypto Mod ICD.

Position responsibilities will include:
Define and apply systems engineering processes to perform an analysis of alternatives and to provide suggested solutions that meet customer requirements.Gather information on specific missions and service needs and provide inputs to specifications to provide to infrastructure and end cryptographic unit development programs.Define and develop System Architecture, CONOPS, and use case development using systems engineering methodologies.Manage requirements, including decomposition, allocation, verification, and validation for subsequent use by future development and test teams.Participate and lead discussions for internal working meetings and customer meetings.Relocation assistance available to move to San Diego, CA.Required Qualifications:
Position requires US citizenship and the ability to acquire a Secret Clearance after hire.Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 10+ years of experience.Expertise in Cryptographic Technologies: Deep understanding of HAIPE, EDE CIS, and similar technologies. Familiarity with DoD Protocols: Knowledge of dynamic discovery processes and security protocols used in DoD networks. Understanding of Vendor Roadmaps: Insight into vendor roadmaps for discovery technologies, ensuring alignment with the latest industry trends and innovations. Proficiency in Cryptographic Modernization 2 Operational Management: Knowledge of Configuration Management using modern approaches such as NETCONF/RESTCONF and YANG modeling to enhance network management and operability.Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze and interpret complex security requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.Desired Qualifications:
